It all started when I was younger; I used to see myself having passion to help the elderly people in any form. When I see an elderly mother or father walking with a stick, I feel like giving him or her a ride.

Sometimes I feel like sending them food, washing their dirty clothes and cleaning their room. I like doing these just to make them feel relieved and happy.

However, I was doing little of those things, but was dreaming of building a lasting system for rendering these helps and in a way it could reach as much as possible the elderly in my village and community, that’s why we established a foundation. Being born in a Christian family, My parents trained us, me and my two brothers always telling us “if you want to be great, solve problems, solving someone’s problem is solving God’s problem”.

My dad also told us that “the way to the top is service”. If you serve people, people serve you; and “the best way to live life is to live life on purpose” so I decided to develop my purpose.

According to my name BLISS (complete happiness or joy), Bliss Foundation is formed for building happiness in the elderlies through our services.

Services we render when we visit the elderly are:

1.  Sweeping and thorough home cleanup.
2. Washing of dirty clothes and beddings
3. Supply of firewoods
4. Fetching of water
5. Gifts of foodstuff and beverages
6. Replacement of old/broken dishes
7. Gift of new cloths, wrapper, and beddings to the needy
8. Supply of cleaning supplies and air fresheners
9. Words of encouragement

I have my team members and my siblings, my two brothers who are my technical crew.

Our projects are currently running with family sponsorship, my little personal savings, and donations.

We have 3 team members with 2 technical personnels and myself, that’s 6 people.

We target to serve 10 clients in this first month, 20 in the 2nd and 3rd months, as we hope to make up to 12 membership in our team.

OBJECTIVES

My plan is to make two(2) dozens of members so we could be helping 50 elderly people every month.

So in 6month’s time, we would have improved the lives of 300 elderly people.

PROJECTS IMPLEMENTATION

We carry out our project every two weeks. There are a number of clients to reach but we are taking 5 elderly women every other Saturday due to little manpower and little resources for now because we just officially started.

Bliss Foundation was officially Launched after our fasting and prayer program in January 2016 and we did our first project in the same month. 

Our first project was full of excitement and indeed blissful as the five elderly mothers we visited all prayed for us. Tears of joy flowed from my eyes as I knelt down with my team receiving blessings from these overwhelmed elders.

We welcome the support and encouragement of anyone that wishes, to enable us to reach more elderly people. I’m happy doing this as I know that’s a call of God in my life and I’m happy to have my great team members who are also as passionate about this Divine assignment as I am.

We also welcome any teen who wishes to be a member our team. If you can’t join us here, you can join us there as you help the poor elderly ones in your neighborhood.
